Work co-authored by FIU Physics Graduate student is highlighted in Scientific American.

FIU Physics graduate student, Trisha Ashley, collaborated in research featured in Scientific American, under the supervision of Dr. Caroline Simpson. Two teams, one at FIU led by Ms. Ashley and one led by Dr. David Nidever at the University of Michigan, independently discovered a previously undetected feature in a nearby dwarf galaxy indicative of a galaxy collision. The two teams collaborated on a paper to appear soon in Astrophysical Journal Letters. Click this link to read about the discovery in Scientific American.
