Dr. Sargisan, as a lead author, has just published an article in the most recent edition of Science Magazine. Collaborating with Or Hen, a graduate student at Tel Aviv University, and other physicists from the CLAS Collaboration, they have observed something totally new: protons and neutrons that have briefly paired up in the nucleus have higher-average momentum, leaving less for non-paired nucleons. The articles can be found on line www.sciencemag.org. A press release was also released by Jeferson Lab. Congratulations, Dr. Sargisan!
